We are Windham Citizens for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (Windham DEI), a vibrant and progressive organization dedicated to creating a more inclusive and affirming community in Windham, New Hampshire.

Our Identity

Windham DEI stands as a beacon of unity, advocating for diversity, equity, and inclusion across various dimensions such as race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, social class, ability, religion, citizenship, and political affiliation. We firmly believe that by embracing our differences, we can build a stronger, more compassionate community.

Our Mission

Our mission is clear—to cultivate a safe and welcoming environment through service and education. We actively promote empathy, understanding, and collaboration among our neighbors, fostering a sense of belonging for everyone who calls Windham home.

Our Goals

  • Education and Advocacy

    We tirelessly work to promote DEI principals across Windham, and provide educational resources to enhance awareness.

  • Community Building

    Through discussions, cultural events, and support initiatives, we aim to build a close-knit community that stands together, especially in times of need.

  • Empowering Youth

    We support and champion the initiatives of the young people in Windham, recognizing them as essential contributors to our shared vision of a more inclusive future.

Community

  • Our membership is open to all current residents and business owners in Windham who share our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. While our private Facebook group serves as a platform for connection, the level of engagement is entirely up to each individual.

  • We believe in open dialogue, respectful conduct, and financial transparency. Our members are encouraged to actively contribute to discussions and decision-making processes while upholding the values of our organization.

  • Formal relationships with other organizations and institutions allow us to amplify our efforts in promoting anti-racist, anti-ableist, and anti-sexist goals. By working together, we aspire to create lasting positive change in our community.
